Assistant Clinical Director (Mental Health)

Wings Recovery is hiring for an Assistant Clinical Director - Women's Program in Carlsbad, CA.

This position is a Monday through Friday position. This person will have experience in supervision, treating clients with Trauma, and experience working at a treatment or hospital center.

Wings Recovery is San Diego’s Premier Primary Mental Health Treatment Center Exclusively for Adult Women, Transgender & Nonbinary Individuals. All of our programs include both individual and group therapy, including a wide range of evidence-based and holistic therapies. At Wings, we specialize in trauma-focused therapies like EMDR and IFS because we know that trauma often lies at the root of mental health disorders.

We also offer holistic therapies like equine therapy, mindfulness, and expressive arts because, in order to truly take root, healing must include your mind, body, and spirit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain appropriate boundaries with clients
• Supervise, mentor, and support clinical staff, promoting professional growth and competency.
• Provide clinical supervision to clinical staff as needed.
• Provide necessary training and oversight of staff.
• Review treatment plan goals with clients regularly
• Collaborate with clinical leadership with hiring, development, training, and performance management of staff to ensure effective operations.
• Support clients in accessing community resources.
• Provide individual and group therapy.
• Be aware of and eliminate stressors in the facility.
• Be aware of potential crisis and manage the program to decrease crisis.
• Communicate accurate and timely information within guidelines.
• All charts, program documentation, medication management, incident reports and other forms/reports are completed according to the defined.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Master’s in Counseling Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical Social Work. Valid LMFT or LCSW.
• Licenses/Certifications preferred: Current state licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical leadership experience in mental health.
• One year full-time experience working directly with clients in a program serving people with mental illness preferred.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards (Joint Commission, CMS) and experience ensuring compliance.
• Knowledge of and belief in the principles of client centered treatment. Knowledge of medications and interventions preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team player. Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and personal automobile insurance.
• Hiring is contingent upon receiving DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance or an exemption, a submission of a signed Criminal Record Statement (LIC 508), a TB test, and clearance on an employment physical.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification is preferred prior to employment.

Compensation range for the Assistant Clinical Director role is $95K-110K/yr.

The range provided is for California based hires only and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates in other locations other than CA may differ based on the cost of living in that geographic location.
