Responsibilities
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, service delivery, and staff management
- Supervise and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer experiences while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety
- Manage shift schedules, coordinate staffing levels, and ensure proper training & development of staff members
- Oversee inventory control processes, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste
- Ensure compliance with health regulations, food safety protocols, and sanitation standards across all departments
- Handle cash management duties such as TOAST POS transactions, cash handling procedures, and end-of-shift reconciliation
- Support kitchen management by supervising food production, ensuring consistency in culinary standards, and maintaining efficient kitchen workflows
- Participate in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and ongoing staff training to build a skilled and motivated team
- Assist with budgeting responsibilities and contribute to achieving financial goals for the restaurant
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service management with a strong background in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments
- Demonstrated supervising experience with team management and staff training & development skills
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food handling safety practices
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for cash handling and sales processing
- Experience managing inventory control, budgeting, and cost control measures within a restaurant setting
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs professionally
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment
- Prior assistant manager experience or equivalent leadership roles in hospitality or hotel settings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and hospitality management best practices
