AIRCRAFT ASSEMBLY MECHANIC

POSITION

Aircraft Assembly Mechanic responsible for performing fabrication and assembly work in back shop and on aircraft.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Read and follow aircraft drawings, process specifications, work instructions, and maintenance manuals to complete aircraft assembly process.
• Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and compliance with drawing and process specification requirements.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum five (5) years of aircraft sheet metal and composite fabrication and structural assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, process specifications, work instructions and maintenance manuals.

COMPETENCIES

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing inspection-ready aircraft parts and assemblies.
• Ability to follow technical specifications, drawings, and work instructions accurately and consistently.
• Sound mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills in manufacturing and assembly environments.

EDUCATION

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of aircraft sheet metal and composite assembly experience required.
• A&P license or technical associate degree preferred.
• Experience modifying, assembling, reworking, repairing, fabricating, and installing aircraft sheet metal and composite components required.
• Experience working with complex aircraft structural assemblies preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Work is performed primarily in a hangar or back shop environment.
• Must follow applicable safety procedures, quality standards, inspection requirements, and FAA regulatory requirements.

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
