This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for shaping, implementing, and advancing our Quality Management System (QMS) while partnering cross-functionally to ensure operational excellence.
Position Overview
The Quality Manager will lead all aspects of quality within the organization, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards and customer requirements. This individual will champion continuous improvement, oversee quality assurance processes, and act as a key driver in maintaining product integrity and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management System Leadership
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the QMS in alignment with ISO 9001 and customer standards
- Serve as the organizational authority on quality systems and compliance
- Lead internal, external, and customer audits, ensuring timely resolution of findings
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as scrap, rework, yield, and customer complaints
Product & Process Quality
- Ensure all products meet specifications and regulatory requirements prior to release
- Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections
- Review engineering documentation and ensure robust quality controls are in place
Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving
- Lead root cause analysis using structured methodologies (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone)
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate recurring issues
- Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving efforts
Supplier & Customer Quality
- Maintain supplier quality standards and performance metrics
- Conduct supplier evaluations and drive supplier improvement initiatives
- Serve as the primary contact for customer quality concerns and audits
- Analyze customer feedback to identify trends and improvement opportunities
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and develop the quality team
- Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to embed quality into all processes
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and process validation activities
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to regulatory, safety, and customer requirements
- Maintain controlled documentation and enforce quality standards across the organization
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- 5 years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience with ISO 9001:2015 or similar QMS standards
Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of quality tools (SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, CAPA)
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies
- Audit experience (Internal or Lead Auditor preferred)
Professional Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive organizational change
Systems & Tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- /MRP systems and quality management software preferred
Preferred Certifications
- ISO 9001 Internal or Lead Auditor
- Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher)
- ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or equivalent
