Seasonal Employee Dining Assistant

Winged Foot Golf Club - We are looking for a Seasonal Employee Dining Assistant to join our Culinary team. This is a great opportunity for someone who values teamwork and thrives in a kitchen where high standards and quality are always the focus.

Position summary:

The Employee Dining Assistant is responsible for meal service in our employee café and the general condition of the cafe. This involves assisting with employee meal prep and production, stocking of beverages, plates, napkins and cutlery. Replenishment of other items such as ice cream, cereal and condiments. You also maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization of the space and its storage areas. You offer polite, hospitable service to those who dine in the café, you take pride in the space and provide “service with a smile”.

Position Responsibilities:

· Works well with team and communicates efficiently

· Set up and stock café for daily meal service

· Organizes and maintains a high level of cleanliness and sanitation in the employee café as well as trash removal.

· Proactive, creative and flexible when it comes to problem solving

· Practice safe and sanitary food handling and preparation procedures

· Takes direction from Executive Chef and Sous Chefs, ask questions when necessary

· Takes full responsibility over the café dining space, presentation and freshness of food and beverage offered.

· Performs other kitchen duties as assigned

· Assist with ware washing when needed

Qualification Standards:

· Food Handler’s certification is required

· Must be able to operate cooking equipment

· Must be able to read and understand English and communicate with members in a professional manner

· Must be able to use and read a food thermometer

· Reliable and punctual

Education:

· High school diploma or GED

Experience:

· 2 or more years working on the line

· 1 or more years fine dining club experience preferred

Physical Demands:

For a 40 hour work week

· 14 hours of standing

· 14 hours of walking

· 12 hours of repetitive movement- Cutting, bending, squatting, stooping, scrubbing, pushing, pulling, stirring, reaching, lifting, sitting, writing

· Repeated ascending and descending flights of stairs throughout the workday

· Lifting and carrying approximately 30lbs

Grooming:

All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per club standards. Professional business attire required

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
