What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Housekeeper position at Wingate by Wyndham Hotel?
Completely service guest rooms within allotted time according to hotel standards. You will be working with different types of cleaning chemicals and will be required to wear the proper handling requirements. Operate vacuum, make beds, move furniture. Record room status and place guest supplies in rooms. Empty and clean garbage containers. Clean and maintain equipment. Relay information to designated parties. Inspect rooms cleaned by other housekeepers in order to maintain the highest level of cleanliness. Create schedules, and coordinate the housekeeping team. Must be in neat, clean uniform with name tag. Follow all policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook. Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Skills include:
Ability to read and comprehend emergency and security information, including labels and directions. Ability to communicate emergency situations to supervisor. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to work scheduled hours and to be on time. Maintain a professional attitude.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to move from guest room to guest room. Ability to clean floors and hard to reach areas by hand. Bending and twisting. Reaching, bending arms and legs, light carrying, pushing and pulling. Finger dexterity and grasping. Normal balance, crouching and kneeling. Walking and standing for periods of time.
