This is a full time, non-exempt position with a 4-day work week!
Position Summary
The QC Inspector II will be responsible for the inspection/testing of products to determine compliance with order requirements, dimensional specifications, company quality system controls and conformity to customer specified standards. This position reports to the Quality Control Lead.
Essential Functions

- Inspect product using manual measurement equipment as well as CMM’s, vision systems, and optical comparators.
- Perform receiving, in-process and final inspections.
- Prepare First Article Inspection (FAI) Reports to customer requirements.
- Prepare Inspection Control Plans to customer requirements.
- Verify quality conformity to specified requirements.
- Identify, disposition and control non-conforming product.
- Assist manufacturing in solving quality and production problems.
- Keep accurate records and maintain quality documentation.
- Maintain material and lot traceability.
- Other duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control.
- Experience using basic measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, indicators, gages, etc.
- Ability to read/interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Experience with geometric dimensions and tolerances - GD&T.
- Experience with quality documentation such as control plans, inspection instructions.
- Experience with CMM and vision inspection systems.
- Familiar with AS9100D and ISO9001.
- Experience with tight tolerance, high precision parts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Independent, highly motivated, and organized.
- Reliable work habits with a proven excellent attendance record.
- Effective communication and math skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing experience is a plus.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Frequent walking throughout the manufacturing facility.
- Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, climb stairs, and work around production equipment.
- Visual ability to review technical drawings, blueprints, and computer screens.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate computers and office equipment.
Work Environment
This position works in both an office and manufacturing environment. Exposure to moderate noise levels, moving mechanical equipment, heat, dust, and other typical manufacturing conditions may occur. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when entering designated production areas.
