Game Floor Host

Overview
We are seeking an energetic and personable Game Floor Host to enhance guest experiences at wing-Itz Axe and Tap. Dover’s new premier entertainment space. This new space will have axe throwing, 4 8’ pool tables, darts, full bar, 80sf LED WALL and lounge seating area to relax and enjoy the game. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, managing gaming and entertainment activities, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable visit. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that combines hospitality, entertainment, and guest service excellence. Prior experience in events management, customer service, or hospitality is highly valued. Candidates with lifeguard experience, experience with First Aid and CPR is ideal, or background in entertainment and food service will find this position particularly fitting. The Game Floor Host plays a key role in maintaining a fun, safe, and engaging environment for all visitors.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit
• Manage gaming areas, including overseeing game operations and ensuring smooth flow of activities
• Handle cash transactions accurately during gaming or event activities
• Facilitate guest engagement through public speaking and event management skills
• Resolve conflicts or issues promptly using conflict management techniques to ensure guest satisfaction
• Assist with organizing special events, promotions, and entertainment activities on the gaming floor
• Support guest needs related to food service or hospitality offerings as required
• Maintain safety standards by monitoring guest behavior and adhering to resort policies
• Provide information about resort amenities, upcoming events, and entertainment options

Qualifications

• Previous experience in guest services, hospitality, or food service preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage guests through public speaking and interpersonal interactions
• Experience with conflict management and resolving guest concerns diplomatically
• Background in events management or theater enhances ability to coordinate entertainment activities
• Lifeguard experience is a plus, demonstrating safety awareness and emergency response skills
• Experience working with children is advantageous for family-friendly environments
• Skills in cash handling and familiarity with resort or casino operations are beneficial
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends in a fast-paced setting
• A friendly demeanor combined with professionalism to create memorable guest experiences

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
