Cashier/Hostess

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and friendly Host/Cashier to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while efficiently managing the front-of-house operations. In this dynamic role, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable from the moment they arrive. You will also handle cashier responsibilities, processing transactions accurately and providing exceptional guest service. Your enthusiasm, communication skills, and attention to detail will help foster a positive experience that keeps guests coming back.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
• Answer phone inquiries with courteous professionalism, providing information about services and wait times
• Process all transactions efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, including cash, credit, and digital payments
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area and waiting spaces
• Assist with guest inquiries, special requests, and provide information about menu items.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff or service team to ensure seamless guest experiences
• Uphold high standards of hospitality, demonstrating excellent communication skills and guest relations at all times
• Follow proper phone etiquette when handling take out orders or guest questions over the phone
• Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction

Experience

• Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred
• Prior experience as a cashier or hostess in a food service or restaurant environment is preferred
• Experience working with POS systems
• Background in food service or hospitality roles that involve customer interaction and guest services enhances your fit for this role
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests and team members
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving procedures, and hospitality standards is beneficial
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude
