We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Para to support students with diverse learning needs in a classroom setting. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers and other staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide tailored support to enhance student learning experiences.
Duties
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to the needs of students with disabilities.
- Support students in their daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and parents regarding student progress and challenges.
- Help manage classroom behavior by employing effective behavior management strategies.
- Provide one-on-one or small group instruction in subjects such as literacy, math, and other curriculum areas.
- Assist with the development and implementation of IEPs under the guidance of certified special education staff.
- Promote social skills development through structured activities and peer interactions.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior for reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including therapists and counselors, to support the holistic development of students.
- Transporting student(s) 1 -4 days per week. Chauffeur's License required.
