Duties
- Greet guests warmly, providing engaging and informative wine tastings while ensuring excellent customer service.
- Pour wine samples accurately using proper serving techniques, maintaining food safety standards.
- Manage POS transactions seamlessly using Square POS system, including cash handling and credit card processing.
- Prepare and plate small food items according to our standards
- Educate visitors about our wines’ origins, tasting notes, and pairing suggestions to enhance their experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting bar area, adhering to food safety and handling protocols.
- Assist with retail sales of bottles, merchandise, and related products to meet sales goals.
- Support event setups such as private tastings or club member gatherings, ensuring smooth operations during busy nights or special occasions.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, fine dining, or hospitality environments is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Square POS system.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple guests and tasks simultaneously during busy periods.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor that creates a welcoming atmosphere.
- Follow all TABC and food‑safety guidelines
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Ability to stand for extended periods while maintaining a lively and attentive presence.
- Must be 21 and able to obtain/maintain TABC certification
