GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Warehouse associate to perform the following warehouse jobs; pick, pack, box making, heavy lifting, material handler, cross dock, and quality assurance and other various warehouse tasks. 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Transports incoming and outgoing inventory to designated areas utilizing appropriate tools/vehicles to accomplish task including but not limited to hand dolly, forklift, electric dolly, pallet jack, and/or cherry picker
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to standard operating procedures
• Load and unload trucks   
• Palletize completed orders
• Pre-build and stage packaging materials   
• Performs quality inspections on outgoing shipments.
• Working knowledge with digital scanners
• Maintains a safe, clean working environment.
• Participates in quality improvement processes.
• Adhering to daily schedules and deadlines
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
• Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.

MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Picks, packs, and handles materials for orders.
• Commitment to excellence and high standards.
• Flexible, and able to move within other warehouse positions.     
• Acute attention to detail.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Team Player with strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

• 1-2 years working knowledge and expertise in Forklift operation, maintenance, order processing, receiving, replenishing, and returns.
• 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment preferred
• 1-year customer service experience
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• High school diploma or GED 
• Solid understanding and knowledge of inventory practices
• Familiar with WMS applications

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Prolonged periods of standing/walking/sitting
• Repetitive movements 
• Occasionally lift, carry and/or move up to 50lbs 
• Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
• Continually required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.
• Continually work near moving mechanical parts 
• Occasional loud noise 
• Occasional varying environmental temperature changes
