JOB SUMMARYWine To Water is looking for an individual who is willing to serve a critical role within the Finance team. We are looking for an individual who is task driven, extremely detail oriented, and can move from task-to-task while remaining organized. This position oversees all accounting procedures for our $5M dollar organization. This includes preparing financial statements, maintaining the general ledger, assisting with the budgeting process, reconciling accounts on a monthly basis, and working on projects alongside the other Finance Team Members. This individual must love numbers, data, and accuracy.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIESReconciles credit card statements on a monthly basis
Assist with annual audit and tax return to provide the team with requested information
Maintain an up to date Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss statement
Manage the Accounts Payable process, ensuring vendor compliance by verifying completed vendor forms and necessary documentation. Utilize Bill Payment System, Ramp, and prepare Bi-Monthly AP Report for Senior Accounting Manager and Director of Finance to review
Manage the Accounts Receivable process, ensuring that payments are collected within the established timeframes of 30 to 60 days.
Communicate with the Development team to ensure all donations are recorded accurately.
Maintain integrity, confidentiality, and accuracy of donations and donor info in Salesforce
Ensure that data between Salesforce and Quickbooks is up to date
Maintain Asset Inventory database and keep depreciation schedule up to date
Manages automated transaction settings in Quickbooks
Assist with the annual budgeting process as needed.
Work with the Finance Team on specific projects and initiatives.
2 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a nonprofit organization.
Proficiency in Excel and Word
Knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles, including fund accounting, restricted funds, and grants management.
Familiarity with financial statement preparation, internal controls, and audit processes.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with different departments.
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Sufficient physical ability to work in an office setting and operate office equipment; the employee is regularly required to bend, stoop, kneel, and occasionally lift 25 pounds.
Exposure to indoor and outdoor temperatures and various living conditions may occur. Must be able to operate motorized vehicles with a valid license.

This position reports to the Senior Accounting Manager but will work closely with the other members of the Finance Team. There will be constant opportunities to collaborate with all Wine To Water team members and assist with various projects and activities. Opportunities to lead interns on the Finance Team and organizational work teams, investing in their professional development and training.
