Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure the health and safety of guests.
- Assist with menu planning and recipe development.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and timely food preparation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients, equipment, and supplies.
- Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Keep dishwashing stations, sinks, floors, and kitchen work areas clean and organized throughout each shift.
- Empty trash, break down boxes, and assist with general kitchen cleaning and closing duties.
- Assist with inventory management, receiving deliveries, stocking supplies, and notifying management when inventory is low.
- Support the culinary team with food prep and other kitchen duties as needed.
- Adhere to all local health department regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- ServSafe Food Handler or ServSafe Manager Certification (required).
- Proficiency in food preparation techniques, including knife skills and basic cooking methods.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience in restaurant, catering, or hospitality environments preferred.
- Ability to operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and organization.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-first attitude.
- Willingness to assist in all areas of the kitchen to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
