Wine Me Up Social is an upscale boutique wine tasting lounge offering curated wine experiences, wine flights, live music, and educational tastings in an intimate and welcoming environment.
We are seeking an experienced server who enjoys hospitality, wine, and creating memorable guest experiences. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys building relationships with guests, sharing wine knowledge, and contributing to an elevated wine lounge experience.
This is not a seasonal or temporary position. We are looking for someone interested in growing with the business and potentially stepping into leadership opportunities as the business expands.
Job Type
Part-time, permanent position - 15 hours per week maximum
Starting Compensation
$17.00 tips
Average hourly earnings including tips may range higher depending on guest volume.
Additional hours may be scheduled over time based on experience, reliability, and performance.
Schedule
Availability is required during our business hours:
Wednesday: 3 PM – 9 PM
Thursday: 3 PM – 9 PM
Friday: 3 PM – 9 PM
Saturday: 2 PM – 9 PM
Sunday: 2 PM – 6 PM
Servers are required to arrive 30 minutes prior to opening for setup and may remain 30 minutes to 1 hour after closing to complete closing duties.
Evenings and weekend availability required.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional guest service in a boutique wine lounge environment
- Guide guests through wine selections, flights, and bottle purchases
- Adapt service style based on guests’ wine knowledge and level of engagement
- Use Square POS to enter orders and process payments
- Maintain a clean and organized service area
- Assist with opening and closing duties as needed
- Communicate clearly with team members and management
- Multitask efficiently during busy service periods
- Continue self-education about wine and the products we serve
- Complete side work as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, wine bar, or hospitality serving experience preferred
- Experience with Square POS or similar POS systems
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Pleasant, customer-focused demeanor
- Ability to read guests and adapt service style accordingly
- Self-starter who takes initiative without constant supervision
- Interest in learning more about wine and hospitality
Requirements
- California Responsible Beverage Service (ABC RBS) Certification
- California Food Handler Card
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Ability to stand for extended periods during service
- Ability to lift wine cases when needed
