Job Summary:
We are seeking full-time/part-time employee to join our team who is reliable and friendly person. Liquor store experience is not required; we are happy to train the right person.
In this role, you'll help customers find their favorite beverages, introduce new products, and create a welcoming shopping environment. Your enthusiasm and product knowledge will drive sales and ensure every visit is memorable. Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service on the sales floor, and at checkout
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor and cooler areas
- Handle cash register, checkouts, and other administrative duties
- Daily opening/closing with sales report and process sales accurately using POS systems, including cash, card, returns, and exchanges
- Help and guide customers with product selections and answering questions
- Receive deliveries from distributors and stock them
- Verify customer age and comply with all Connecticut liquor laws
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Previous retail, beverage, or customer service experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic retail math to accurately process transactions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves, lifting boxes, and standing for extended periods
- Reliable, punctual, and available for evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits is helpful but not required
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
