Job Responsibilities
The Prep Cook / Baker / Sandwich Maker plays a central role in maximizing the growth and success of the Wine Country Store, reports to the Food & Beverage Manager, and is responsible for the following primary duties:
- Bake various items, including but not limited to homemade focaccia bread, cookies, etc.
- Cook “Grab and Go” food items, including but not limited to salads, pasta salads, deli sides, frozen meals, etc.
- Make sandwiches, cheese & charcuterie boards, and other food products made to order and for “grab and go” inventory.
- Wash dishes, pots and pans as needed.
- Clean the food preparation areas, stockroom, bathrooms and store as needed.
- Assist in stocking shelf space, maintaining shelf price labels, and front-facing merchandise throughout the store.
- Conduct inventory audits, as needed.
- Perform other store duties flexibly as required, including working the cash register when needed.
- Part-time and full-time positions available on a consistent work schedule.
- Be available to cover staff shifts at other times and work overtime hours, if needed.
Qualifications

- Experience in restaurants, catering and/or food preparation preferred.
- Ability to receive direction and learn new things quickly.
- Work hard, quickly and with a positive attitude.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- A minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
