What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paint & Sip Business – Licensee – Kansa City, MO position at Wine and Canvas?
Opportunity type: Independent Contractor business – Licensee — not employment
Location: Kansas City, MO
Earnings: Keep 70% of gross event revenue
Start-up cost: No franchise fee, no lease, no territory restrictions
Run your own paint-and-sip business, with the hard parts already built
Painting & Vino® licensees own and operate an independent paint-and-sip business in their own community, backed by an established brand and a system that already works.
You run the events. We supply everything that usually takes years to build.
What you get
- Keep 70% of gross event revenue. No franchise fee, no territory exclusivity.
- 40,000 painting designs — a finished portfolio from day one, so you’re never starting a class from a blank canvas.
- Hands-on training. No art degree required, and no prior experience running events. We teach the format, the pacing, and how to hold a room.
- Booking technology and marketing support already built — ticketing, event pages, and the systems that turn interest into filled seats.
- A mobile model. You bring the easels, paints and canvases to bars, breweries and restaurants. No studio lease, no fixed overhead, no empty room on a slow Tuesday.
Who this suits
People who are comfortable in front of a group and want to own something rather than be employed by it. Our strongest licensees tend to come from hospitality, events, teaching or sales — not fine art. If you can make twenty strangers feel like they’re good at painting for two hours, the art side is learnable.
It is a business, not a job. You set your schedule, choose your venues, and your income tracks the work you put in.
How it works
- Apply and have an introductory conversation about your market
- Training and onboarding
- Venue partnerships in your area
- Run your first class
