What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Producer position at Windy Films?
Executive Producer
Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Executive Producer to own and accelerate production-led new business across our independent production brands. This role oversees projects from director pulls through final delivery and provides leadership that strengthens production quality, operational clarity, and financial performance. This is not a traditional production management role — it is a revenue-driving leadership position responsible for originating, shaping, and closing high-value production opportunities.
The Executive Producer will serve as the primary production growth driver, building a qualified opportunity pipeline through outbound relationship development with brands, agencies, directors, and partners. This role combines commercial instinct, creative positioning, and senior-level production leadership to materially expand production revenue, average project size, and win rate.
This individual must be highly equally comfortable selling, negotiating, and leading complex productions, acting as a strategic partner to agency leadership, clients, and creative teams.
ROLE PURPOSE
The purpose of this role is to own production-led growth — from opportunity origination through wrap and delivery.
The Executive Producer is accountable for building and maintaining a measurable pipeline of qualified production opportunities, driving year-over-year revenue expansion, and positioning the company as a premium production partner in the market. This includes sourcing new business, shaping scopes and budgets, selling creative and production strategy, and leading execution on strategically important projects.
This role complements the Director of Production, Operations & Finance by focusing on revenue creation, opportunity strategy, and client-facing leadership, while relying on established operational systems, financial controls, and production infrastructure to deliver work efficiently and profitably.
The Executive Producer serves as a senior growth partner to clients, and creative teams — ensuring production is not only executed well, but is a core engine of new business generation.
