Are you an experienced HVAC Comfort Advisor looking for an opportunity to earn $200K annually, have a direct impact on a growing company, and build toward a sales leadership position?
Windy City HVAC Repair is a locally owned (not private equity-backed) residential HVAC company. We're hiring one experienced Comfort Advisor who knows the equipment, knows the kitchen table, and can run an appointment on day one.
We'll be direct: this is not a training role. If you can turn "we're getting three quotes" into a signed contract tonight, we want to talk to you.
The money
You'll earn 10% commission on every sale you close, with no cap.
Our average replacement ticket runs about $13,000. At 10%, here's what production pays:
- $1.5M sold = $150K
- $2M sold = $200K
- $3M sold = $300K
We know switching companies means betting on yourself somewhere new, so we take some of that risk off you. For your first 90 days, you're guaranteed $1000 per week while you ramp. If your commissions come in higher, you get the higher amount. After 90 days, you're on straight commission.
Self-generated deals pay 12% because you brought the customer in.

What you'll do
- Run in-home replacement consultations: assess the home, size the system, and present good/better/best options (Rheem and DuraStar lineup)
- Build trust fast and close on the first visit when it's the right fit for the homeowner
- Present financing confidently (Wisetack, GreenSky, Optimus)
- Write clean, accurate proposals using our pricing tools
- Stay in front of customers while our admin team handles CRM updates and follow-up tracking
- Help shape how we sell as we grow, with a real path to leading the sales team
What you need
- Proven track record: 2 years of residential HVAC replacement sales ($1M annual production preferred)
- Strong closing performance, ideally 45% on run appointments
- Ability to verify sales performance during the interview process
- Solid working knowledge of load sizing, SEER2/AFUE, heat pumps, and IAQ add-ons
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
