Duties
- Safely operate the kiddie train or wagon ride along designated routes, ensuring passenger safety at all times
- Assist guests with boarding and disembarking, providing friendly and helpful service throughout the ride
- Conduct pre-ride inspections of the train or wagon to ensure all safety features are functional and equipment is in good condition
- Follow all operational procedures, including speed limits, route adherence, and safety protocols
- Maintain cleanliness of the ride area and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly
- Manage loading capacity to comply with safety regulations and guest comfort standards
- Engage with guests by answering questions, sharing fun facts, and creating an enjoyable experience for everyone onboard
Skills
- Valid driver’s license with experience in manual transmission vehicles preferred
- Prior experience operating small vehicles such as forklifts, dump trucks, or flatbed trucks is a plus
- Strong understanding of driving principles including route driving and safe maneuvering of passenger vehicles
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with guests of all ages
- Ability to follow detailed safety procedures and operational guidelines precisely
- Experience with commercial driving or truck driving is advantageous for understanding vehicle handling and safety protocols
- Familiarity with load & unload processes for equipment or supplies related to ride operations
