What are the responsibilities and job description for the PartTime NonInstructional School Aide position at Windward School?
The Windward School is currently seeking several part-time school aids to assist Windward faculty in the supervision of children in non-academic situations in our Westchester location.
This role is Monday through Thursday, 10am -3 pm, and Friday 9:00-2:00pm not to exceed 30 hours per week.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides supervision of children during non-academic times including arrivals & dismissals, hallway movement, lunch time, and recess activities.
- Assist students with safety protocols including handwashing,
- maintaining personal space and following appropriate hallway expectations.
- Exhibits a positive attitude and serves as a positive role model for students and the community.
- Works cooperatively and effectively with others. Maintains self-control and uses common sense.
- Reports to work on time and ready to work.
- Exhibits good judgment and responds positively to supervision, suggestions and/or directives.
- Special projects such as: Bulletin boards, making copies etc.
- Assists students with safety protocols.
- Additional duties as assigned
Specific Requirements
- Degree Preferred
- Prior experience working with children
- Anyone hired for this role must complete a mandatory background check
Salary : $18
