We’re looking for responsible, motivated individuals to join our team as Summer Lifeguards at our local pond and beach. As a lifeguard, you'll serve as the first line of defense in ensuring the safety of all visitors, while also providing friendly, approachable assistance during the busy summer months. This role combines water safety, light grounds maintenance, and positive interaction with the public. Perfect for someone who enjoys being active, working outside, and helping create a safe, welcoming, enjoyable environment for everyone.
Responsibilities
- Vigilantly monitor pond and beach areas to ensure the safety of all visitors.
- Enforce posted rules, answer questions, and respond calmly to emergency situations.
- Provide friendly, respectful assistance to the public.
- Maintain water cleanliness by skimming debris, such as weeds, from the pond.
- Rake and remove collected debris from the shoreline and dispose properly.
- Help maintain the beach by filling in holes and smoothing out areas impacted by daily use.
- Keep the beach house clean, organized, and well maintained.
- Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors.
Requirements
- Must be 15 years of age or older.
- Lifeguard Certification and CPR/First Aid Certification (Training costs can be covered or reimbursed for candidates).
- Strong sense of responsibility, awareness, and attentiveness.
- Ability to interact professionally and confidently with the public.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule during peak summer times, including weekends (Monday through Sunday).
- Ability to follow safety procedures meticulously and work effectively as part of a team.
