Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure hygienic conditions.
- Conduct janitorial tasks across various areas such as offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces with attention to detail.
- Execute floor care procedures including buffing, polishing, stripping, and waxing to maintain optimal appearance and safety standards.
- Support custodial operations for both commercial and residential settings, adapting techniques as needed for different environments.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, light plumbing or electrical work, and equipment upkeep to ensure operational efficiency.
- Support industrial cleaning projects that require specialized equipment or procedures for large-scale or high-traffic areas.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; notify management of supply needs or maintenance issues promptly.
- Uphold safety protocols by adhering to health regulations and using appropriate protective gear during all cleaning activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in janitorial services or custodial work within commercial or industrial facilities.
- Strong background in cleaning techniques including floor buffing, stripping, waxing, and general sanitation practices.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance procedures with the ability to perform minor repairs or coordinate repairs with specialists.
- Experience with residential painting or related maintenance tasks is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as buffers and extractors safely and effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues promptly.
