Resident Transport

Transportation Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Arrange for and make resident appointments and transportation for diagnostic and therapeutic services, i.e., lab, x-ray, etc. Answer telephone, route calls, and direct visitors to resident rooms.
• Assist in admitting, transfer and discharge of residents including arrangement of transportation, belongings and escorting to discharge/transfer area.
• Ability to assure that all medical record information is protected physically and kept confidential according to HIPPA.
• Ability to assist the Medical Records Designee, as necessary. Does all things necessary for the resident’s health, safety and welfare.
• Perform other related duties as directed by nursing or administrative supervision.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and behaviors, while contributing to the overall success of the company. All other activities as assigned by the supervisor.

Transportation Coordinator Qualifications:

• Must have excellent computer skills and a strong background in medical terminology.
• Must be able to multi-task.
