- Position: Interventional Radiology Technologist (covering both vascular and neuro cases)
- Certifications Required: ARRT(R), BLS (ACLS preferred)
- Experience: Above average skills in neuroradiology procedures (cerebral, coiling, kyphoplasty, spine work, stroke therapy, carotid stenting)
- Licensure: Must provide current radiation badge (agency provided)
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, with call (1-2 shifts per week every 3rd or 4th weekend, possible holiday call; 30-minute callback required)
- Scrubs: Provided by facility
- Travel Requirements: Must live outside 50-mile radius; prior perm and travel staff restrictions apply
- Team Submission: Travel teams must be submitted together in one email
- Core Duties:
- Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data
- Maintain sterile technique and prepare entry site for procedures
- Assemble supplies and assist physicians in lab environment
- Monitor and document patient ECG and blood pressure, communicate changes to physician
- Maintain patient and unit confidentiality
- Participate in on-call rotation, available for emergent procedures 24/7 as scheduled
- Assist in code situations and perform resuscitative measures under supervision
- Document procedures accurately and ensure correct billing
- Use and manage inventory control systems
- Participate in educational and in-service programs
- Instruct radiography students in clinical settings
- Maintain specialization in neuroradiology and vascular IR
- Prepare and check patients prior to procedures
- Participate in departmental performance improvement and inventory management activities
