Windsor Community Association is seeking a General Maintenance Mechanic. This position performs basic repairs and general maintenance. It is an entry level position for someone who wants a career in maintenance and wants to join a great team!
Essential Job Functions:
- Performs routine zone inspections and repairs assigned.
- Performs general maintenance repairs.
- Performs mostly preventative maintenance along with a mechanic or skilled craftsman.
- Assists various crafts such as carpenters, painters, electricians, and air conditioning mechanics.
- On call for Hurricane Preparation Plan and Restoration.
Skills & Knowledge:
- This position requires general maintenance and repair knowledge.
- Ability to perform general maintenance tasks under direct supervision of an experienced mechanic or supervisor.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well with other craftsmen.
- Understands and abides by safety regulations.
- Comply with all departmental and company policies.
License/Certification:
- Valid Florida driver's license, with satisfactory driving record.
Special Working Conditions:
- Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, move up to 50 pounds, stoop, walk, sit, and bend.
- Works primarily in varying environmental conditions, with exposure to extremes of heat & cold, dirt, heights, confined spaces, potential electrical, and other hazards.
