JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for ensuring that hotel rooms are clean, tidy, and inviting for guests.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Changing bed linen and towels, making beds.
2. Vacuuming and cleaning floors, dusting and polishing furniture.
3. Cleaning bathrooms and replacing guest supplies.
4. Ensuring customer issues or requests are handled professionally and promptly.
5. Maintains the highest level of confidentiality.
6. Communicates effectively with co-workers, management and guests.
7. Maintains a professional and courteous demeanor with guests at all times, including during an unexpected situation or problem while trying to find a satisfactory solution.
8. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Educational/Experience: High School diploma/GED or equivalent or a combination of education and experience. Hotel or hospitality industry or housekeeping experience preferred.
1. Ability to work as directed by your supervisor, which may result in being scheduled anytime during a 24 hour period, 365 days a year.
2. Ability to think quickly when resolving problems.
3. Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business demands.
4. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, management and guests.
5. Must be reliable, punctual and collaborative with co-workers and managers.
6. Maintain a professional demeanor in a high stress environment.
7. Must be able to push and lift weight up to 40lbs.
8. Ability to sit, walk or stand for prolonged periods of time as required performing the assigned duties of this position.
9. Must be able to use hands, fingers or feel; and reach with arms or hands to perform the assigned duties of this position.
10. Ability to read, write, and communicate using appropriate English standards of language.
11. Ascend/descend flights of stairs to access hotel work and break areas throughout work day.
