Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Window Installer to join our 'Ohana. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of construction, including glass installation, carpentry, and remodeling. This role involves working on-site to install windows and related fixtures, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. Candidates with hands-on experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, and the use of hand and power tools will excel in this position. A strong background in construction site experience and familiarity with schematics and fabrication processes are highly valued.
Duties
- Install windows, frames, and trim carpentry components accurately according to blueprints and schematics
- Perform caulking, fixture installation, cabinet installation, door hanging, and metal stud framing as required
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and securing window units
- Conduct heavy lifting of window units and related materials safely on-site
- Assist with remodeling projects, including construction painting and drywall work when necessary
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to ensure precise installation
- Coordinate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining safety protocols
- Measure spaces accurately for proper fitment of windows and fixtures
- Fabricate custom components as needed to meet project specifications
Skills
- Construction estimating experience is a plus for project planning
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Knowledge of glass installation techniques and fixture mounting
- Experience with carpentry disciplines such as trim carpentry, frame carpentry, and door hanging
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
