The ideal candidate will assist with bean processing activities, monitor product quality, maintain clean work areas, and help ensure coffee supplies meet the company's standards for freshness and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with receiving, sorting, weighing, and preparing coffee beans for processing
- Support coffee bean roasting and processing activities according to established procedures
- Monitor bean appearance, aroma, and consistency during processing
- Measure and package processed coffee beans accurately
- Label products with appropriate batch and inventory information
- Maintain accurate records of processing activities and product quantities
- Inspect raw materials and finished products for quality concerns
- Store coffee beans under appropriate conditions to preserve freshness
- Clean and maintain processing equipment and workstations
- Monitor packaging materials and report supply shortages
- Follow established quality control, food safety, and sanitation procedures
- Coordinate with café staff and supervisors to maintain adequate coffee supplies
- Report equipment issues, product defects, or processing irregularities
Qualifications
- Previous experience in coffee production, food processing, manufacturing, or café operations preferred
- Interest in coffee beans, roasting, and beverage production
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to follow written procedures and production instructions
- Basic mathematics, weighing, and recordkeeping skills
