Location: Windom, MN

Position: Nutritional Services Interns

Hours: 16hr/week May through Sept 1

Rate: $15.13/hr

Interns would work the majority of the time in the Nutritional Services Dept, doing food prep, cleaning, learning about various therapeutic diets, sanitation and safety procedures, delivering patient trays using exceptional customer service, and shadowing other departments including cardiac rehab, diabetic education and wellness.

Qualifications

• Must be a student who has completed their junior year of high school
• Or currently enrolled in a dietetics/nutrition program or related field
• Strong interest in clinical nutrition and healthcare
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for promoting healthy eating habits and overall wellness

Windom Area Health (WAH) is an 18-bed Critical Access Hospital located in Windom, MN. The hospital serves Windom, Mt. Lake and the surrounding areas. Windom Area Health provides specialty outreach services on a regular basis including cardiology, hematology/oncology, podiatry, general surgery, orthopedics, ophthalmology, pulmonology, urology and occupational/speech/physical therapies. Emergency room, laboratory and imaging services are also available 24 hours a day. Our mission is “Dedicated to Health”, which directs our decision making and services on a daily basis. We have a management agreement with Sanford Health and are owned by the City of Windom.
