Overview
Windmill Creek Winery and Farm Table is seeking a Full Time Bar Manager to join our team. We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills, hands on bar experience, and solid wine knowledge. The idea candidate is passionate about hospitality, organized, structured, and excited to help elevate our beverage program. We offer Windmill Creek Wine, Windmill Creek House Made Brandy and Our Windmill Creek Craft Beer.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all bar staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Oversee daily bar operations to ensure smooth service during shifts
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Handle cash transactions accurately and manage cash handling procedures
- Develop and implement staff training programs focusing on customer service, food safety, and operational procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in accordance with health regulations
- Assist in food preparation when necessary, including cocktail creatios.
- Monitor customer satisfaction levels and address any issues promptly to uphold high service standards
- Coordinate with kitchen management for seamless food and beverage service during events or busy periods
- Implement shift management strategies to optimize staffing levels during peak hours
- Communicating with our Wine Director about inventory and staff training.
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant management, food service management, or hospitality management with supervising experience
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and develop staff effectively
- Extensive knowledge of POS systems such as TOAST
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating a welcoming environment
- Ability to manage inventory control
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to oversee shift management efficiently
- Previous experience in managing bars within hotel or banquet settings is advantageous
- Effective communication skills for interviewing staff, team management, and customer interactions
- Knowledge of beverage trends, cocktail crafting, coffee experience or barista experience is a plus
