The Role
We are looking for a warm, polished, and highly organized Front Desk Receptionist to be the first face families see when they walk through our doors. This is not just an administrative role — you are the heartbeat of our front office and a key part of the Windhaven family experience.
What You'll Do
- Welcome children, families, and visitors with genuine warmth and professionalism every single day
- Manage daily check-in and check-out procedures with accuracy and care
- Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and route messages promptly and courteously
- Support enrollment inquiries and schedule tours for prospective families
- Support classroom staff
- Maintain organized front office records, files, and communication logs
- Coordinate with teachers, directors, and support staff to ensure smooth daily operations
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including parent communications
- Assist with special events, mailings, and school-wide initiatives as needed
- Uphold Windhaven's standards of confidentiality, professionalism, and service excellence at all times
Who You Are
- A natural people person who lights up when greeting families and making them feel seen
- Calm under pressure with strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented and organized, with excellent follow-through
- Comfortable with technology, including scheduling software, Google Workspace, and basic office tools
- A clear and professional communicator, both in person and in writing
- Someone who takes pride in their work and genuinely cares about children and families
- Discreet, trustworthy, and aligned with our culture of excellence
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a receptionist, customer service, or administrative role
- Experience in a childcare, school, medical, or hospitality setting is a strong plus
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Must pass a background check
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time | Monday through Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
