Position: Substitute School Bus Driver
Location: Windham Southwest Supervisory Union (WSWSU) & Twin Valley Unified Union School District (TVUUSD)
We are seeking reliable and safety-minded individuals to join our team as Substitute Bus Drivers. This position provides coverage on an as-needed basis to safely transport students to and from school, field trips, and extracurricular activities.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate a school bus in accordance with state and district regulations.
Maintain a safe and respectful environment for students while in transit.
Follow established routes and schedules or adapt to changes as needed.
Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and transportation supervisors.
Qualifications:
Valid Vermont Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with school bus and passenger endorsements, or willingness to obtain with support.
Clean driving record and background check.
Ability to interact positively with students of all ages.
Reliability, flexibility, and commitment to student safety.
Schedule & Compensation:
Flexible, as needed to cover daily routes, trips, or absences.
