BRATTLEBORO UNION HIGH SCHOOLNURSE POSITIONLONG TERM SUBSTITUTE (JANUARY 5, 2026 MAY 15, 2026)Brattleboro Union High School #6 is seeking a dynamic school nurse to serve as part of a comprehensive school wellness team. The school nurse will join an existing health office team that includes two full time nurses, one part time nurse and a full time office paraprofessional. The health office serves three schools within a single campus including Brattleboro Union High School, Brattleboro Area Middle School and the Windham Regional Career Center. These three schools have a student and staff population in excess of 1200 people.
Some of the duties include first aid and emergency care, medication administration, screening for public health data, communicable disease control, child abuse and neglect intervention, and substance abuse prevention. The school nurse will serve as a resource to BUHS community and families. The position requires periodic and ongoing collaboration with BUHS staff and community agencies. Candidates must hold a valid Vermont RN license and be licensed by the Vermont Agency of Education as a school nurse.WSESD is an increasingly diverse community with an ongoing commitment to social justice and anti-racism.
