Bellows Falls Union High School is seeking a collaborative and dedicated Assistant Principal to join our leadership team.Our next Assistant Principal will work closely with students, staff, faculty, caregivers, and the broader community to implement innovative programs that support individualized learning, ensure equitable outcomes for all students, and maintain a high standard of academic excellence. In addition to supporting the curricular needs of the community, including staff supervision and evaluation, key responsibilities include: Lead and champion the building's student behavior support system, embedding proactive, trauma-informed, and restorative practices into daily school culture.Serve as Building 504 Coordinator to ensure appropriate accommodations and institutional compliance across the high school.Serve as the primary point of contact for student CARE and discipline matters, supporting HHB and Title IX investigations as requested by the Principal or Supervisory Union staff.Support the design and delivery of co-curricular programming, including Terrier Time and Advisory.Serve on various building committees, including Freshman Academy and the CARES team.Support day-to-day operations of the building, including student supervision, substitute coordination, emergency operations, and after-hours or weekend support for school activities.Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate brings a passion for secondary education, strong operational leadership, and a proven ability to build positive, restorative relationships across the entire school community.Preferred Experience & Expertise: Teaching and administrative experience at the secondary level, with familiarity in proficiency-based learning models.Demonstrated background and hands-on experience designing and facilitating restorative practices and positive behavior support frameworks.Strong knowledge and practical application of trauma-informed practices.Experience with Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) at the secondary level.Qualifications & Position DetailsLicensure: Current Vermont Principal Licensure (or eligibility/license-portability for Vermont Administrative Licensure).Work Authorization: U.S. citizenship, residency, or valid work visa required.Position Type: Full-time, 12-Month Administrative Contract.Application Process: Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest, a current resume, and the contact information for three professional references.About Bellows Falls Union High SchoolEnter to Learn...
