What are the responsibilities and job description for the GROUNDS MAINTENANCE LABORER position at Windham Mountain Club?
Overview of Position: The Maintenance Department is responsible for the general maintenance of the entire resort, and for assisting with building projects. The maintenance dept is also responsible for snow removal and sanding. The focus of the department is the overall safety and appearance of the resort.
Job Qualifications:
- Must have experience in general maintenance.
- Must be able to regularly lift 50 pounds and stand/walk for an entire work shift.
- Must have a valid drivers license; CDL license is preferred.
- Experience operating heavy equipment is preferred
- Must be punctual reliable, results-driven, and willing to learn.
- Must be comfortable interacting with both staff and guests in a friendly and helpful manner.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform general plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other maintenance duties as needed.
- Transport project materials to various locations, including loading and unloading.
- Keep patio areas clear of snow by shoveling and salting.
- Assist with garbage removal inside and outside WMC properties.
- Coordinate with other departments in maintenance efforts.
- Keep department equipment clean and in proper working condition.
- Report any safety concerns to supervisor immediately.
- Maintain updated knowledge of scheduled events, weather conditions, and general resort knowledge.
Work Schedule and Conditions: We are in the business of providing a premier product and experience for our guests. Traditionally our busy periods are during weekends and holiday periods which you will be expected to work. You can also expect to be asked to work extra hours or days on occasion, especially during the holiday periods.
