We are seeking a motivated individual for a Helpdesk Technician position in our Wayland office.
This position is responsible for installing and maintaining computer hardware, software, and network. This position will work on external customer support requests. The Helpdesk Technician will be required to work closely with multiple business units to assist in external customer work.

Education, Training & Experience
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred: Associate of Applied Science in Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Required: 1 - 3 years of experience in troubleshooting hardware and applications. Knowledge of ticketing systems preferred.
- Required: Thorough knowledge of Windows operating systems. Working knowledge of Android and Apple IOS mobile operating systems. Education and training on Windows, Printers, WiFi, MS Office, and basic networking.
- Preferred: One year experience in helpdesk role. Current knowledge of IT systems and troubleshooting.
- Preferred: Industry standard certifications such as: A , Network , Security , MCP, MCITP, MCSA, MCSE. Experience with virtualization preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Open and close help desk tickets
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network functions
- Train staff as needed online of business applications
- Troubleshoot applications
- Report generation and logging
- Provide information to customers and advise solutions
- Maintain inventory of technology hardware and software
- Setup, review, and test backups
- New employee setup, training, and support
- Existing employee moves, adds, and changes
- Train peers on new techniques, software, hardware
- Configure network shares and permissions
- Create and remove AD users as required
- Manage user mailboxes and distribution groups as required by management
- Assist in building/update/burn in of custom servers
- Assist in testing and staging of equipment (IP Cameras, IP Phones, Automation switches/routers, etc.)
- Obtain quotes and order materials needed with management approval
- Maintain security of the corporate network by disabling user accounts, performing maintenance on AV and firewall, reviewing security logs
