Solidworks Drafter

Position OverviewAs a SolidWorks Drafter at WindChill Engineering, you will be responsible for creating accurate, high-quality submittal drawings for custom containment projects, as well as detailed drawings for individual components and hardware. You will work closely with our engineering and project management teams to ensure designs meet project specifications and client requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and prepare submittal drawings using SolidWorks for custom containment systems.Create detailed component, hardware, and assembly drawings with accuracy and clarity.Interpret and work from architectural drawings, plans, and layout details.Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and customers to clarify requirements and resolve design issues.Maintain drawing standards and documentation accuracy throughout the drafting process.Support continuous improvement initiatives within the drafting and engineering departments.Required QualificationsProficiency in SolidWorks (2–3 years experience preferred).Ability to read, understand, and interpret architectural drawings and layout details.Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize nuances in project requirements.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience in mechanical drafting, custom fabrication, or engineered containment solutions.Familiarity with industry drafting standards and file management.Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing project needs.Company DescriptionWindChill Engineering Inc. is a rapidly growing engineering and manufacturing company specializing in custom containment solutions.
