Duties and Responsibilities:
- Projects a positive image
- Greets all guests passing in corridors
- Delivers guests’ requested items
- Vacuums corridors daily, spotting carpets as necessary
- Re-stocks supplies in housekeeping storage closets
- Administers dirty and clean linen and terry items
- Loads glassware into washers as needed
- Transports trash from room attendant’s carts
- Recovers lost-and-found items
- Keeps corridors and stairwells free from dust and debris
- Disseminates information to guests regarding the property, hotel, promotions, etc.
- Reports maintenance issues
- Performs routine maintenance on vacuum cleaner
- Keeps storage areas and carts clean and orderly
- Works safe by observing safety rules and wearing proper equipment
- Other duties & responsibilities as assigned
- High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within six (6) months from start date as a condition of continued employment
- Must be nineteen (19) years of age or older- required
- Good verbal communication skills required (skills test will be administered)- required
- Must be able to lift and carry up to seventy-five (75) lbs
- Ability to work in areas containing dust or on high floor; occasionally kneels, climbs and crawls to work in difficult positions
- Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition
- Must be able to stand and walk for entire shift
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced, high volume environment
- Must be able to operate standard office equipment - phones, computers, etc.
- Must be in good physical condition and able to pass a physical fitness test
- Willing and able to work odd or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
- Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position
- Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
