Server (Oyster Bar)

DescriptionJob Overview:The Oyster Bar Server will serve the bar and surrounding tables providing friendly and efficient food and beverage to all guests in the Oyster Bar. Purpose:Our genuine engagement and positive energy provide guests an escape from their routine into our exciting fantasy world of fun, chance, and possibility, where everyone feels a sense of belonging and importance. Value System:Our enthusiastic commitment to our purpose inspires and empowers us to do everything right, have fun, and be the best. We will be recognized fairly, elevating our levels of personal accountability, and focus on our customers. The resulting creation of wealth will grow opportunities for all. Duties and Responsibilities:Report to the station as scheduled in proper uniform and ready to workComplete all side work as directed by the supervisorGreets guests in a friendly professional mannerTakes orders from guests and ServersMaintains complete knowledge of all menu items as well as some beer and wine knowledgeInspects cleanliness and condition of assigned stations and associated public space and rectifies any deficienciesContinuously maintains cleanliness and organization of bars, bottle displays, coolers, and station equipmentOther duties & responsibilities as assigned  Job Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying) High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within six (6) months from the start date as a condition of continued employmentMust be twenty-one (21) years of age or olderOne (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience- requiredOR six (6) months experience within the Beverage Department at WCH- requiredWillingness and ability to lift and maneuver a minimum of fifty (50) poundsDemonstrated ability to communicate, in English, effectively both verbally and in writing, and understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formatsMust successfully pass a job interview, including a guest service auditionMust successfully complete Responsible Vendor Alcoholic Beverage Service and BASSET trainingMust complete ServeSafe Sanitation trainingMinimum bartending skillsWilling and able to work odd or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidaysWilling to travel and participate in training as recommended or requiredMust have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board as a requirement for this position Base Pay:Pay range - $9.00 - $13.00 (The base pay will depend factors such as experience level and skillset.)Voluntary full-time benefit offerings include the following - group medical, dental, vision, and life insurance as well as access to a flexible spending account (FSA) option.
