DescriptionJob Overview: The Maintenance Technician II – Refrigeration & Kitchen tech performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on buildings, mechanical equipment, and utility systems. Maintains, troubleshoots, replaces, repairs, and retrofits kitchen and refrigeration equipment, appurtenances and installations. This is a Journeyman level position. Purpose:Our genuine engagement and positive energy provide guests an escape from their routine into our exciting fantasy world of fun, chance, and possibility, where everyone feels a sense of belonging and importance. Value System:Our enthusiastic commitment to our purpose inspires and empowers us to do everything right, have fun, and be the best. We will be recognized fairly, elevating our levels of personal accountability, and focus on our customer. The resulting creation of wealth will grow opportunities for all. Duties and Responsibilities:Complies with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work areaPerform troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance on commercial foodservice equipment including, but not limited to, refrigeration equipment, cooking equipment, beverage equipment and dish machinesDemonstrate effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsRepairs or replaces defective equipment, components, or wiringTests electrical circuits and components for continuity, using electrical test equipmentReassembles and tests equipment following repairsMakes necessary adjustments to obtain optimal equipment operating efficiencyConducts daily surveillance tours to kitchen and refrigeration equipment to assure proper and efficient operationInspects and tests system to verify system compliance with plans and specifications and to detect and locate malfunctionsFollows all national, state and local codes governing the maintenance, repairs and installation of all related components and equipmentObtain additional licenses and certifications as appropriateDiscusses heating-cooling system malfunctions with users to isolate problems or to verify that malfunctions have been correctedRecords, responds, and reports all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended on work orders in Hotsos Tests pipe or tubing joints and connections for leaks, using a pressure gauge, gas detector or soap-and-water solutionAdjusts system controls to setting recommended by manufacturer to balance system, using hand toolsRecommends, develops, and performs preventive and general maintenance procedures such as cleaning, power-washing and vacuuming equipment, oiling parts, and changing filtersLayouts and connects electrical wiring between controls and equipment according to wiring diagram, using electrician's hand toolsInstals auxiliary components to heating-cooling equipment, such as expansion and discharge valves, air ducts, pipes, blowers, dampers, flues and stokers, following blueprintsInspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals; repairs or replaces broken partsCleans and inspects boiler; treats water with proper chemicalsCalibrates and repairs pneumatic systems, as neededReplaces broken windows; repairs doors, door locks and closets; installs window blindsCompletes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance proceduresMay operate a computer which controls and monitors mechanical equipment and utility systemsRepairs electrical equipment and control circuits; replaces faulty electrical switches; repairs refrigeration equipmentMay repair electrical locks and control panels to maintain building securityResponds to emergencies as required and trainedAssists with the renovation/remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall; paints building structuresMaintains records of scheduled maintenance proceduresMay perform outside duties such as snow removal, parking lot mechanical repairs, as requiredMay move furniture; may assist others with production of conference center or amphitheater eventsMay obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed.Assists with other work in coordination with repair and maintenance teamsInstalls, connects, and adjusts thermostats, humidistats and timers, using hand toolsGenerates work orders that address deficiencies in need of correctionJoins pipes or tubing to equipment and to fuel, water, or refrigerant source, to form a complete circuitCuts and drills holes in floors, walls, and roof to install equipment, using power saws and drillsWraps pipes in insulation, securing it in place with cement or wire bandsMeasures, cuts, threads, and bends pipe or tubing, using pipefitter's toolsFabricates, assembles and installs duct work and chassis parts, using portable metal-working tools and welding equipmentOther duties as assigned Job Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying) High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within six months from start date as a condition of continued employmentMust be twenty-one (21) years of age or olderMust have and maintain valid state-issued operator driver's licenseMust have completed at least two (2) maintenance certificates such as a CFESA (Commercial Food Equipment Service Association) required , EPA Section 608 Technician certification type Universal, NATE certification, controls (CCST), NFPA96, NFPA 1.Must have at least three (3) years general commercial property maintenance experienceMust have good hearing and eyesightMust have ability to read, write, and understand EnglishMust have a valid and current State Driver's License and an insurable driving record for purposes of driving company vehicles as requiredWilling to work odd and irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidaysWilling to travel and participate in training as recommended or requiredMust have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board as a requirement for this positionBase Pay:Pay range - $24.65 - $33.45 (The base pay will depend on factors such as experience level and skillset.)Voluntary full-time benefit offerings include the following - group medical, dental, vision, and life insurance as well as access to a flexible spending account (FSA) option.
