Duties and Responsibilities:Projects a positive imageGreets all guests in corridorsActively coaches, mentors and develops employeesPerforms weekly audits of employee performanceAssists with auditions, interviewing and hiringGenerates daily assignments for employeesPerforms property inspections, documenting as requiredChecks and reports area statuses as neededInventories and orders departmental suppliesCreates work schedules; Manages employee timesheetActs as “Manager on duty” representing the casino in resolving guest conflict for the propertyKeeps staff informed of all pertinent informationLiaises with other departments as operational issues ariseGenerates shift reports recording key statistics and incidentsLimits the number of accidents and injuries by promoting job safetyApproves or denies PTO requestsOther duties & responsibilities as assigned Job Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying)High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date as a condition of continued employmentMust be twenty-one (21) years of age or olderAssociate’s Degree in Related field– requiredOR Two (2) years’ Supervisory experience– requiredOR One (1) year experience as a Dual-Rate Supervisor in a Wind Creek Hospitality Department– requiredOR Two (2) years’ experience in the hiring position’s Department- requiredOne (1) year of experience in an EVS, custodial or housekeeping position- requiredExperience in customer relations or guest services- preferredMust participate in computer basics training course within one (1) yearMust successfully pass job interview, including a guest service auditionMust participate in departmental training (ex: hard surface, carpet surface, etc.)Must obtain certification in lift training annuallyMust have knowledge of cleaning chemicalsMust be willing and able to work in the presence of solvents and cleaning chemicalsMust be able to climb a ladder to perform overhead workMust be able to lift and maneuver a backpack vacuum of twenty-five (25) pounds up to two (2) hoursMust be able to push or pull or maneuver a minimum of five (5) to sixty (60) pounds to assigned areasGood writing and verbal communication skills required (skills test may be administered)Must be able to stand and/or walk for entire shiftMust be able to work effectively in a fast paced, high volume environmentMust be able to operate standard office equipment – phones, computers, etc.Must have a valid and current State Driver’s License and an insurable driving record for purposes of driving company vehicles as requiredWilling to travel and participate in training as recommended or requiredMust have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board as a requirement for this position. Base Pay:Pay range - $22.40 - $30.38 (The base pay will depend on factors such as experience level and skillset.)Voluntary full-time benefit offerings include the following - group medical, dental, vision, and life insurance as well as access to a flexible spending account (FSA) option.
