Job Summary
WinCity Sports Cards is looking for a dependable, friendly, and motivated Part-Time Retail Associate to join our team in Winchester, Kentucky.
This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with people and has an interest in sports cards, Pokémon, trading cards, collectibles, eBay, or the hobby in general. Previous hobby knowledge is helpful, but it is not required. We are willing to train the right person.
As a Retail Associate, you will help customers, operate the register, organize and stock merchandise, assist with pricing and inventory, and help keep the store clean, organized, and welcoming. Depending on your experience, you may also assist with eBay listings, online sales, social media, product photography, and other day-to-day store operations.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, honest, comfortable working with customers, willing to learn, and able to stay productive during both busy and slower periods.
Duties
- Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful customer service
- Assist customers with sports cards, Pokémon, collectibles, supplies, and other products
- Operate the point-of-sale system and process cash and credit card transactions accurately
- Stock, organize, and price merchandise
- Maintain clean and organized shelves, showcases, and work areas
- Assist with inventory counts and product organization
- Help research pricing and comparable sales when needed
- Assist with eBay listings, product photos, shipping, or online sales if experienced
- Help with new product releases, restocks, customer pickups, and store promotions
- Answer basic customer questions in person and by phone
- Learn about the products and services offered by WinCity Sports Cards
- Assist with social media, product photos, or promotional content when applicable
- Complete other general retail and store duties as needed
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred, but not required
- Sports card, Pokémon, trading card, collectible, or hobby knowledge is a plus
- eBay or online selling experience is a plus
- Comfortable using computers and learning store systems
- Ability to handle cash and merchandise responsibly
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Willing to learn and take initiative
- Social media, photography, or online marketing experience is a plus
Pay & Employee Incentives
Starting Pay: $11.00 per hour
WinCity Sports Cards believes in rewarding dependable employees who grow with the company. Employees may be considered for annual pay increases based on performance, experience, and length of service.
We also have an annual employee bonus program. Our current bonus structure includes 2% of the employee’s annual wages, along with an additional bonus amount based on the growth and performance of the business.
