Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive activities program tailored to the needs of residents.
- Plan and coordinate events that encourage resident participation and foster community engagement.
- Assess residents' interests and abilities to create personalized activity plans that support their individual needs and preferences.
- Collaborate with caregiving staff to ensure activities align with residents' daily living needs (ADLs) and overall care plans.
- Monitor participation levels and gather feedback to continuously improve the activities program.
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment during all activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Train and supervise volunteers or staff assisting with activities, fostering a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Ability to work within a monthly budget.
Requirements
- Proven experience in event planning or activities coordination within senior care settings such as assisted living or long-term care facilities.
- Knowledge of caregiving practices and the ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities.
