What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teller position at Winchester Savings Bank?
Responsible for performing a variety of routine customer transactions. Represents the Bank in a courteous manner, providing prompt, efficient, and accurate service in processing transactions.
Essential functions- Perform routine customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments; cash checks within approval limit
- Accept foreign checks for collection
- Buy and sell foreign currency for customers
- Issue money orders and treasurer’s checks
- Maintain and control an assigned cash box; balance cash and work at day’s end
- Process mail transactions
- Order and verify exchanges of cash with main cash vault
- Redeem Savings Bonds
- Identify BSA transactions
- Identify Funds Availability transactions
- Be knowledgeable with the Bank’s products and services
- Properly quote interest rates
- Verify and process daily night bag deposits
- Assist with ATM settlement when requested
- Attain referral goals as assigned
- Adhere to the Customer Service Standards
- Cover switchboard as necessary
- May have check signing authority
- Perform additional duties as required
Strong customer service skills; strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all types of customers; ability to pay attention to detail.
Required education and Experience- High school diploma or Equivalent
- Cash handling and customer service experience preferred (length and type)
Salary : $18 - $24
