SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Compliance Manager will hold primary responsibility for administration of the Bank’s Compliance Management System (CMS) and monitor regulatory developments and compliance activities. This role will help ensure the Bank maintains effective processes to meet regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Reporting to the FVP Risk & Compliance, this position will coordinate compliance monitoring activities, maintain program documentation, and support compliance-related reporting and regulatory examinations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Compliance Program Administration
- Administer and maintain the Bank’s Compliance Management System (CMS), including compliance tracking tools, monitoring schedules, and supporting documentation
- Maintains awareness of regulatory developments and assists in identifying potential compliance impacts to the Bank
- Assists with incorporating regulatory updates into compliance policies, procedures, and program documentation as directed by the FVP Risk & Compliance
- Coordinates compliance monitoring and reviews conducted by external compliance consultants and assists with tracking findings and corrective actions
- Administers the Bank’s consumer complaint management program, including educating business lines, logging, tracking, investigating, and documenting complaints and resolutions, and escalating issues to the FVP Risk & Compliance as appropriate
- Ensures advertising and marketing materials comply with applicable regulations using established checklists, templates, and procedures, and maintains those tools to remain current with regulatory expectations
- Assist the Bank’s CRA Officer with administration of the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) program, including maintaining required documentation, supporting regulatory reporting, and coordinating program activities
- Assists with preparation for regulatory examinations, internal audits, and external compliance reviews, including gathering documentation and responding to information requests
- Maintains compliance-related policies and procedures and assists with coordinating periodic policy reviews and updates
- Conducts regulatory research and monitors regulatory developments relevant to consumer compliance and related areas
- Prepares compliance reporting and supporting materials for presentation to management and Audit Committee
- Participates in regulatory examinations, audits, and compliance reviews as requested
- Escalates potential compliance issues, regulatory concerns, or program deficiencies to the FVP Risk & Compliance Officer as appropriate
- Performs other compliance-related duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred; or equivalent banking or regulatory compliance experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in banking, regulatory compliance, risk management, audit, or a related field, preferably within a financial institution
- Working knowledge of consumer banking regulations and regulatory compliance expectations applicable to community banks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare reports, documentation, and correspondence in a clear and professional manner
- Ability to conduct regulatory research and interpret regulatory guidance with appropriate escalation to management
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to review documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently while coordinating with internal departments, management, and external compliance consultants

Salary : $72,000 - $90,000
