Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Offset Press Operator to set up, operate, and maintain a Heidelberg SM74 4/C, offset printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and experience with sheetfed or web offset presses.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate offset printing presses according to job specifications
- Install printing plates, adjust ink levels, and load paper stock
- Monitor press operations to ensure consistent color and print quality
- Inspect printed materials and make necessary adjustments
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of press equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical or printing issues during production
Offset press operators typically prepare presses by installing plates, adjusting ink and water solutions, and monitoring print quality during production runs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years experience operating offset printing presses preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Knowledge of color matching and printing processes
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
