Job Description:
We are a law firm based in Winchester, VA, looking for an Office Assistant to join our team. The individual in this role will help ensure our daily operations run smoothly and efficiently by handling essential administrative and clerical tasks. This in-person, entry-level position is ideal for individuals with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Managing phone calls
- Handling client inquiries
- Scanning and processing documents
- Providing administrative support to our team
- Monitor and replenish office supplies to support daily operations
- Ensure common areas, reception spaces, and workstations are orderly and presentable at all times
- Coordinate with administrative staff to anticipate supply needs and prevent shortages
Requirements and skills:
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Proven work experience as an Office Assistant or similar role (not required, but a plus)
- Advanced proficiency in computer applications and office technology
- Ability to type 35 words per minute
- Ability to qualify to be a notary
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient and kind
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft suite
- Must be able to lift and carry 30 pounds
Salary and benefits:
- The salary range for this position is $15-20 per hour, based on experience.
