Ammunition Packer

Olin Winchester, LLC (“Winchester”), considered one of the world’s leading ammunition manufacturers, is seeking Ammunitions Packers. U.S. Veterans are encouraged to apply. This position will be located at Winchester’s Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in Independence, MO. Ammunitions packers start at $17.12/ per hour.

Essential Functions:

• Manually pack ammunition into containers and move by hand truck to/from assigned areas
• Visually inspect and/or feed components, link clip, cartons and other materials into machines
• May operate electric lift/cart and push two-wheeled dolly to load/unload materials
• Obeys all safety rules and regulations and wears proper safety equipment
• Maintains equipment and work area in a clean and safe condition
• Prepare packing materials, operate a bandoleer filling and stamping machine and jump in to accomplish other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Lift & carry 35-50 lbs. Push up to 100 lbs.
• Turn, twist and bend at the waist
• Handle, finger, feel, eye coordination and foot-hand-eye coordination
• Ordinary hearing and communication skills
• Ability and willingness to work any shift, including overtime
